FAQ's

1. What does a full makeup service entail?
A full makeup is the application of: primer, moisturizer, foundation, concealer, powder, eyeshadow, eyeliner, eyebrows, bronzer, blush, contouring, highlighting, lipstick, setting spray and lastly, false lashes. This is a service for the general public, not industry professionals. Industry professionals will incur a different set of rates because of the potential difference in interactions. Mainly, industry professionals don't typically require a trial / consult, we get our information deck and move forward. (Brides, see question 7.)

2. Microblading?
Microblading is a SEMI-permanent service that will give you a fuller looking brow. Downtime is about 2 weeks. Touch-up is an average of once year. Prices start at $300.

3. Lashes?
I use synthetic mink lashes and have a variation of glue depending on your sensitivity. Lashes require fills and will be discounted based on the condition of your lashes. Full Sets start at $125 and refills start at $75. 5 full set referrals gets you a FREE refill.

4. Do you give discounts?

Always. There are many different reasons a makeup service would generate a discount. Large parties are the most common for weddings and prom. It's a business first, and foremost. If I am traveling to a far site for 1 person, it isn't as beneficial for either of us economically. However, if I travel to that same location and am able to work on 6 or more people, the rate is drastically reduced. As far as hair services, it all depends on how much product I have to use because of the texture, current color and finished color you desire for your hair.

Lastly, I always give discounts to clients who travel to me for their services. (I currently live 15 minutes south of the Napa Valley)

5. What is a travel fee?
If I'm traveling anywhere in the Bay Area it is always $45 for travel. Otherwise it incurs an additional fee, depending on mileage and location. This is mainly because of the kit set-up. It is intensive work to bring over 100lbs of makeup and tools, set it up, then break it down.

6. How do you set-up a large scale party?
If you are looking to do a lesson, pretty party or beauty station for an event - it would all depend on the hours and the amount of people. In this type of event, I will either set-up to facilitate on my own, or I will round up a number of trusted professionals and provide a few artist for your event. A day rate per artist is the most economical choice.

7. Why are wedding/bridal services so expensive?
There are many facets to getting a bride ready. In fact, most bride/professional relationships are cultivated over the course of a year;  back and forth, planning, ideation, creation and execution. I will even partner with your other professionals (photographer, hairstylist, videographer) for event timelines and day-of itineraries. Weddings are an artform and need very careful execution because you don't get a second chance. As far as industry professionals, if they don't like the take / shot / look- we can just reset and shoot again without time constraints or disappointing family members who've traveled from all over the world.

8. When should I opt for a makeup trial?
Weddings. As mentioned, these are very special days that need to be heavily rehearsed. I highly recommend trials to be scheduled on a night out or the day of your engagement photos to get more out of your buck.

9. How much time will makeup/hair take and how long will it last?
I am freakishly fast. I can do one full makeup in about 30 minutes. Hair in 45 minutes. It all depends on the environment. Taking account, social time and sports talk. As far as longevity, the makeup will last ALL day. This is not an exaggeration. You can fall asleep and wake up with it on, BUT  I do not recommend it. Please take care of your skin properly :P

10. What products or brands do you use?
I use a variety of different brands for different types of events. Keep in mind, pictorial makeup does not need to last as long as bridal, so using long wearing products during a photoshoot is not ideal and can be counterproductive during quick changes. My kit primarily includes: Anastasia Beverly Hills, Ardell, Bare Escentuals, Becca, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Clinique, Dior, Estee Lauder, Giorgio Armani, Lancome, Laura Mercier, MAC, NARS, Philosophy, Red Cherry, Trish McEvoy, Urban Decay and a few others.
